Well, I always thought selling 300 calendars would be quite a task and so it turned out to be. But I have achieved it today when the last 2 were picked up. Yay! It certainly has kept me busy these last few months.
And, I have made a "profit" of £1590 from the sales which I will now be donating to the Hampshire and Isle of Wight branch of Butterfly Conservation.
Thanks to all of you who have made purchases.
And below is the bonus image for January 2022 - the Wall butterfly - in cop on a wall.
My fund-raiser for Butterfly Conservation this year is a limited edition calendar. Having spent covid19 lockdown under house-arrest for the first 10 weeks, I had plenty of time to select some beautiful images of butterflies 'in cop'. I've been promising to produce such a calendar for several years now and at last it's here. With a limited print run of only 300 be sure to reserve your copy in the Shop.
Following my very successful exhibition at Harbour Lights in February I have now been able to make a donation of £2300 to Butterfly Conservation, being all the sales proceeds from 63 photos sold less my expenses. BC have a 'match funding' scheme on at present so that donation doubled to £4600. With Gift Aid that total increases to £5750. Yay! Thank you to all those who bought some of the beautiful photos.
13 of my butterfly photos are now on display at the Hawthorn Urban Wildlife Centre on Southampton Common until 31 March
Wow! What a great opening night. There must have been almost 100 people attending and lots of sales to support this charity fund raiser for Butterfly Conservation.
Here are a few images taken by my friend Bruce Larner.
To celebrate the launch of this website, until the end of February 2019 50% of the sale price of prints and framed prints will be donated to Butterfly Conservation
